Eventing work!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while! I've been SO busy! Here's an update on Savannah and I.
Well, we have been working more on eventing for the last two weeks instead of Parelli. Why? Because, we are prepping for the show season next year. We have been doing cross country the last two weeks and it's AMAZING. Savannah just flys over the jumps. We have a jump that goes downhill, and it feels like your in the air forever! I will post some pictures soon! They are amazing. Savannah and I have also been working on our dressage, but we won't dwell on that, LOL. Let's just say that dressage is NOT our strong point LOL. If anyone has tips for us on dressage, please let me know! I really need them! LOL. Well, that's about all for now. Savannah is jumping an average of 2'6" and 3' now! I'm so excited!

Parelli Day at Lea's!

Hey Everyone!

I went to my friend Lea's house today! I worked with their horse, Scout. He is such a doll, I always ride him when I'm there lol. But today, we started working on Level 2!!! I now have a bunch of print outs for self assessments and the requirements for Level 2! I also got my Level 1 certificate! YAY! lol. Well, check back for a lot of updates on how Savannah and I are doing with our Level 2! Also, we will be needing a lot of help! So feel free to give me tips!

Today, we weaved in between cones, we did a game going around barrels, and we did all the Level 2 seven games. We also did a bunch of transitions without using reins! It was so fun!

Parelli Beginning!!!!

We had such a great start today!!!!! We started out with Level 1, 2, and 3 friendly game. We did EXCELLENT with the Level 1 friendly game, the Level 2 took some work, but we eventually got the hang of it, and Level 3 needs some help, but, it probably went better than Level 2. ;) We then did some Level 1 driving game, and that needs work, but alot of it is because we were on grass and all Savannah wanted to do was eat! lol. We did a TON of sideways game today! It was probably one of our best! We did it against the fence line, we did it out in the open, we went over a barrel, and we TROTTED the sideways game! It was so exciting! I'm so proud of Savannah! Then, we did a cone pattern, we weaved in and out of the circle, and we also trotted around the inside and outside of it. We also did a lot of cavalletti work today, and some small jumps. We finished the day with a nice, long gallop around the property. Today was the first day I have ridden Savannah the whole day without a saddle! I love bareback, but I usually use a saddle sometime in the day. But not today! It was amazing! I totally felt the connection between Savannah and I and this is our first day! It's amazing! My barn has also taken on a palomino mini, and another mini and a mule, and the palomino mare is going to be trained in Parelli! I can't wait to start! Tips and Critique are welcome on our pictures! Hi Everyone!

This is Bec and Savannah! We do Parelli Natural Horsemanship and we also do eventing. As we keep learning Parelli, we will keep you updated on our progress!!!

We have just started our journey through Parelli, and, we want to keep learning. Savannah thinks that the world revolves around her most of the time, so it's time for a change, her and I need a better relationship, and when I was introduced to Parelli, I knew it was the right thing for us.
